It is aimed at students with no previous knowledge. From the first day you start speaking Spanish and learn to express basic needs as well as understand and use simple and frequently used expressions. At this level you will be able to introduce yourself and give brief descriptions about yourself and your family and friends, you will be able to describe everyday actions and talk about your tastes and preferences on basic topics such as food, sports, hobbies, etc.

Breakthrough

You will be able to understand frequently used phrases and expressions related to areas that are especially relevant. You will be able to communicate when carrying out simple, everyday tasks on familiar or common issues: basic information about yourself and your family, shopping, restaurants, places of interest, occupations, etc. In addition, you will learn to describe aspects of your past and your environment as well as issues related to your immediate needs.

A2

Waystage

You will be able to understand the main points of texts dealing with familiar topics and produce simple, coherent texts, whether in work, study or leisure situations. You will be able to describe experiences, events, wishes and aspirations, as well as briefly justify your opinions or explain your plans. At this level you will be able to cope with most situations that may arise when travelling in areas where the language is used.

B1

Threshold

You will be able to understand the main ideas of complex texts, whether they deal with concrete or abstract topics, including texts of a more technical nature. You will also be able to produce clear and detailed texts on various topics, as you will have sufficient resources to defend a point of view. You will be able to interact with native speakers with a sufficient degree of fluency and naturalness so that communication is effortless on the part of either interlocutor.

B2

Vantage

You will acquire an effective and operational command of the language. You will have no problem understanding long texts on different topics and with a certain level of demand, as well as recognizing implicit meanings in them. You will also be able to produce clear, well-structured and detailed texts on topics of a certain complexity, showing a correct use of the mechanisms of organization, articulation and cohesion of the text. Thanks to your wide linguistic repertoire, you will be able to express yourself spontaneously and fluently, adapting to the appropriate register.

C1

Effective Operational Proficiency

You will be able to understand almost everything you hear or read with ease. You will be able to reconstruct information and arguments from various sources, whether spoken or written, and present them in a coherent and summarised manner. You will be able to express yourself spontaneously, with great fluency and precision, allowing you to differentiate small nuances of meaning.
